This Anglo Aquatics Carex Pendula is a Marginal plant and is ideal for placing in shallow edges or on shallow planting shelves. Marginal plants are perfect for the borders of your pond where the water is most shallow, or perhaps on a planting shelf. They are able to tolerate waterlogged soil but should be planted no deeper than four inches below the water level. These hardy aquatic plants can be grown outside of the water also, as long as their soil is kept consistently moist. Benefits: Dark green leathery leaves grow upward then droop to form a weeping mound. The pendulous seed heads can often be seen by streams and brooks.
